TOUCH WOOD 2019 - featuring pocko artists
On the 17th of October, alongside some of the creative industries top illustrators and creatives, Pocko’s very own Bijou Karman, Emiliano Ponzi and Vincent Mahé created bespoke paintings on wooden panels in aid of the charity organisation, World Land Trust - patroned by Sir David Attenborough.
The EXHIBITION
Touch Wood is a charity exhibition featuring original art by more than 50 internationally celebrated artists, including 3 of our own! The aim was to raise money to protect threatened habitats, restore tropical forests and reduce our carbon footprint.
Each artwork was set at a fixed price of £333 and all proceeds will be donated to the World Land Trust, patroned by Sir David Attenborough.
The 50 artists participating were given a 30 x 30 x 4cm FSC certified MDF board to work from. Each artist was invited to contemplate and reflect on nature, with some taking a more personal approach than others. A collection of submissions was collected and published as a short book, available to purchase at the exhibition.
